dont be so surprise about that, guangdong is the richest province in china yet the bordering province of guangxi and hunan and jiangxi are among the least developed region in china, this is why guangdong is the province with the highest concentration of migrant workers

According to the China National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), 4th quarter GDP for Shanghai was 16872.42 RMB. The GDP for Anhui was 12263.36. These numbers are for the entire city/province, not per capita.

http://219.235.129.58/reportView.do?Url=/xmlFiles/aeb3d8f5e5e243189f30b784cd5f0a67.xml&id=4702b55bfb234afc8e614fc7243dee5e&bgqDm=20104000

A lot of people in Anhui are migrant workers in Beijing and Shanghai.

Once again, "Superman" has exposed his ignorance. He provides no source for his information; therefore, it can be assumed that his numbers were pulled out of thin air. Additionally, the official exchange rate measure of GDP cannot be used for China.

"Because China's exchange rate is determine by fiat, rather than by market forces, the official exchange rate measure of GDP is not an accurate measure of China's output; GDP at the official exchange rate substantially understates the actual level of China's output vis-a-vis the rest of the world; in China's situation, GDP at purchasing power parity provides the best measure for comparing output across countries (2010 est.)

http://www.indexmundi.com/china/gdp_%28official_exchange_rate%29.html

Shanghai's GDP per capita based on purchasing power parity is $ 18,575 US.
Anhui's GDP per capita based on purchase power parity is $ 5.223 US.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Chinese_administrative_divisions_by_GDP_per_capita (I used Wikipedia's info because I couldn't access the NBS statistics. Information is obtained from China's 2010 census.

These figures show the main difference between the two areas. Purchasing power parity is "an economic theory that estimates the amount of adjustment needed on the exchange rate between countries in order for the exchange to be equivalent to each currency's purchasing power."

The relative version of PPP is calculated as: S= P1/P2

Where:
"S" represents exchange rate of currency 1 to currency 2
"P1" represents the cost of good "x" in currency 1
"P2" represents the cost of good "x" in currency 2

There is no direct flight from Malaysia to Hefei.

U just buy air ticket from Shenzhen Airline in Malaysia. The Shenzhen airline has provide 2 trips in a row from Malaysia to Shenzhen, and Shenzhen to Hefei.

Their office phone are 03-21712969, 03-21712970

If u wanna save money, u can also book air ticket from AirAsia to Shenzhen first, then u book shenzhen airline from Shenzhen to Hefei. Just check Airasia website to use credit card to buy ticket. If u don't have credit card, then buy ticket at KL sentral, Kuala Lumpur.

If u still feel not easy, just call 016-3028880. He is my friend working in a travel agency. He can book airticket for u and send u airticket to your home.

If u still have problem, email me under yahoo answers system.

Have a nice trip.
